I looked at several of these, and as someone with a love for old photos and a fascination with the Victorian 'death pictures' I have to say I am highly impressed by your work. They capture not simply the emotions they are called after, but indeed a whole style of photos no longer seen. They are quietly compelling, dignified yet monstrous and frightening. The models are nude, but are not simply nude for the sake of tittilation as with most photos these days; sex may sell but it's not always art. The nakedness of the model here only seems to heighten the emotion of the photo, and I am put in mind of the way patients in madhouses of the period were often called upon, without their consent, to participate in experiments and art.
